Office365 Excel Co Authoring

Excel Co-Authoring

Microsoft Office365 has just rolled out Excel Co-Authoring to all Office Insiders. It’s already available for users that are on Excel Online within SharePoint or OneDrive.

This new features means that the full client Office will now allow users to work collaboratively and alter excel files on the fly.

A common challenge Valto has seen among many organisations is the limitations of work-groups trying to share and work on Excel files causing file locks, lost information and lots of duplication of files. The new functionality from Microsoft will potentially save companies huge amounts of lost time.

Auto Saving & More

A host of other features are being rolled out this month including,

  • Auto Saving – Files saved in SharePoint and OneDrive will now automatically save.
  • Microsoft Bookings – This product which will enable Office365 users to allow their clients a booking webpage to easily manage all of their appointments.
  • Microsoft Teams – We covered this in another post and is now generally available across the Office365 platform.
