Before the project, ARKA Express had no intranet or digital workspace in place. All internal communication was handled manually, often through physical noticeboards in the office. This made it particularly difficult to connect with the company’s large workforce, most of whom are truck drivers that are based on the road.
There was no structured onboarding process for new hires, no central location for accessing key documents or policies, and no digital tools to support communication between remote staff and back-office teams. The idea of an intranet was entirely new to the organisation, and they needed a solution that would be both intuitive and impactful.
ARKA Express is a US-based trucking company with 400+ vehicles and a strong presence across the Midwest, East Coast, and Southeast. Founded by former drivers, the business prides itself on reliability and long-term client relationships.
Valto delivered a modern SharePoint intranet tailored to the needs of ARKA Express, with a focus on improving onboarding, communication, and access to resources for remote staff. The solution was built collaboratively, with custom Power Apps to support specific use cases such as room booking and HR processes.
Key features included a structured homepage with departmental templates, a company-wide survey tool, and an automated workflow to support the offboarding process for drivers.
