Their Challenges

In recent years Turquoise Mountain has been through some substantial growth, resulting in an increase in employee numbers and locations across the world. They now have a presence in the UK, Burma, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan. Growth brings challenges. Employees in the UK are home based workers, whereas other countries operate out of an office. Employees often work whilst in transit from country to country. The IT Infrastructure has not been reviewed in recent times and it has been discovered to not be joined up. Finally, given the size, geographic spread and diversity of projects, Turquoise Mountain is no longer keeping up with other similar organisations in terms of sharing information with staff efficiently.

Challenges

  • Lots of disparate systems, licenses, costs.
  • Document Storage is also not universal across the organisation.
  • Many administrative processes, such as diarising meetings with colleagues, taking lengthy times to complete.

Our Solution

Valto started with an IT Strategy to take a holistic overview of TMs desires and ongoing issues. We looked at all of the existing systems, the challenges they were facing with each of them and ambitions and desires for IT going forward. We displayed the capabilities of several cloud solutions including Office365 and SharePoint and assisted with a migration and training for Office365.

Results, Return on Investment and Future Plans

Valto moved our mail systems to Office365 which saved us a huge amount of money, they helped consolidate our licensing across multiple countries and provided a roadmap and guidance for our migration to SharePoint. TM is now using the latest technologies and is ahead of similar organisations. The next steps of the project are to consolidate our file systems including legacy file server, Dropbox and Google Drive into one system for us.

Quote From Customer

We called upon Valto’s services to assist with migrating to Office365. We had a range of different systems including 1&1, Dropbox & Google for Mail and Valto moved everything to the cloud with no downtime and a streamlined simple process. The entire process was very simple, and we’d highly recommend the services to anyone.
