Valto appoints new Development Lead, Jay
Valto are delighted to welcome Jay Wellings to the team as Development Lead!
Jay’s main focus will be to develop, grow and support the practices, processes, and Individuals of the development team within Valto. With his help, we will maintain and expand the existing exacting standards and knowledge we have within the team for Microsoft Power Platform and further cultivate our expertise around SharePoint Framework, Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
Jay lives in the South of England, with his long-term partner Katie and their fur baby Cockapoo. He is a fan of tasty food and spending time with friends and family.
His partner, Katie, has a love for board games and has amassed over 50+ games, and as a result on the weekends, Jay can often be found buried under a pile of plastic game pieces and action cards. He has also been known to frequent his local karaoke rooms to get in touch with his inner ‘rockstar’ for the evening.
Jay graduated from University in 2006 with a Degree in Computer Science and obtained an MSc in Software Engineering in 2017. He has been working in Software Development for 14+ years.
He has worked in several industries including Automotive, E-Commerce, Pharmaceuticals, and Food Manufacturing.
In 2016 he shifted his professional focus to the MS365 platform, with the key areas being SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Platform, and Azure Cloud capabilities to build key Line of Business applications for clients across the world. Some examples include:
– Product Catalogue Solution โ Using SPFx, core SharePoint capabilities and power automate to migrate a desperate set of assets and information into a single application that ensures consistency of data and system behaviour.
-Project Management Solution โ Using SPFx, PowerApps, Power Automate, Microsoft Graph, and SharePoint created a solution to provide oversight and management of many ongoing, business-critical projects.
In addition to Jay joining Valto, Dougie Wood, our previous Development Lead, has recently taken on a new role within the company as Valto’s Consultancy Lead and will be focusing on heading a new consultancy department for Valto.
