Online meetings made simple with Microsoft Teams
Teams is fast becoming one of the world’s most widely used platforms, with so much of the world now set up for remote work and video conferencing. It makes collaborating with your team and liaising with clients easy, and means you can schedule a meeting whenever and wherever.
With Microsoft Teams, you can easily set up video and audio conferencing for your business. With the Microsoft 365 Business Voice add-on, you can use your desk phone, smart phone, computer or tablet to call anyone from inside or outside your contacts, and collaborate with Microsoft apps like Sharepoint Online in real time.
Why use video conference calling for meetings?
Make your business truly global
No matter the size or trade of your business, being remote ready and set up to work from home (or anywhere!) can only be a plus. Allowing your colleagues flexibility, future proofing the business and setting yourself up to move locations and time zones means remote work capabilities are truly beneficial. Using Teams means you can take your files, contacts, calendars and conversations anywhere. The platform makes conference rooms versatile and completely mobile, and all you need to set it up or enter is an email address!
Collaborate in real time
With video conferencing you get instant feedback and connection, and collaborations that make work dynamic and more productive than with emails or phone calls. With screen sharing you can instantly use visual aids to help illustrate your point – show graphs, data, projects and documents as you talk. Use online mood board and collaboration tools to create, give examples of work, and share live data points and illustrations as you meet. If you and other participants use the Microsoft Teams desktop client, use the Digital Whiteboard to sketch and draw for creative collaboration.
You can tailor your Teams meeting however works best for you. For example, you can control which meeting participants can join the meeting right from your Teams app, inviting your entire team or selecting a specific number of guests. Use customised backgrounds to comply with business branding or for themed events.
Take the hassle out of minute taking and note checking and record your meeting. You can keep a lasting record of your conference call to refer back to at a later date for stats and notes. Or, use the recording function to share a training session or conference later on. After your session ends, a copy of the recording will be saved in Microsoft Stream for easy access.
Scheduling made simple
There are several ways to set up a meeting from within Microsoft Teams. Start a call straight from a chat, send an invitation to a specific email address, or create a new appointment in the digital calendar of all your invitees.
Take control of your meetings
The easy to use interface of Teams makes it simple to keep control of conference rooms. Participants can mute and unmute microphones, choose to turn cameras on or off and blur backgrounds for privacy and to minimise distractions.
