What is Microsoft Viva Insights?

The Microsoft Viva platform can help businesses boost productivity and improve employee wellness. Viva Insights is a module on the employee experience platform, which helps businesses improve workflows through personalised insights.

Viva Insights is one of four modules that make up the wider Microsoft Viva Suite. The others are Viva Learning, Viva Connections and Viva Topics – all of which can be accessed through Outlook, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

What does Viva Insights do?

Viva Insights in Teams uses Microsoft 365 data on things like emails, meetings, calls and chats. It then analyses these data points for personal employees to create a better work culture. Personal insights like this are private to the employee, and includes features such as:

What is Viva Insights for?

Viva Insights is part of Microsoft’s employee experience platform Viva. The module provides insights and personalised ideas for improving productivity. The tool generates insights for business leaders to enhance the work experience – for example by tracking meetings and protecting focus time. The tool uses data driven, privacy protected insights and recommended tips to improve productivity.

Is Microsoft Viva Insights free?

Viva Insights is available for £3 per user, per month, with enterprise Office 365 and Microsoft 365 licences. This means that Personal Insights are included for any user with this licence. To access advanced, manager and leader insights, you can purchase a separate Insights Licence.

To fully unlock Insights (and other Viva modules Topics, Connections and Learning), you can purchase the Microsoft Viva Suite licence, which is currently priced at £6.80 (per month, per user on an annual subscription basis).
