Welcome to our YouTube video on top five Power Apps examples.

0:04
Power Apps is a platform that enables applications to be developed and built using a variety of Microsoft products, including Canvas Power Apps which are mobile type applications, model driven apps replacing traditional apps, and Power Apps code, the latest and greatest pro code development, which enables AI development.

0:25
We’re going to showcase each of these and explain some of the typical use cases we see in the market.

0:30
Asset Management and QR Tracking App An application for tracking physical assets such as laptops, vehicles, equipment, tools or machinery.

0:39
This features QR and barcode scanning, asset allocation, maintenance schedules, audit history, and real time reporting.

0:49
Basically this is compelling because it will replace and eliminate spreadsheet and help reduce loss assets.

0:55
So the another app that we’ve seen is ACRM system.

0:59
So that would be replacing spreadsheets or potentially even SAS products as well, which are quite expensive and have a quite big licence cost associated with them.

1:09
So we’ve seen building those from leads into opportunities and into projects.

1:13
We can then capture custom workflows, we can build out quotations and we can manage all the communication history between those customers and accounts.

1:23
So this is replaced, they say all legacy systems, spreadsheets and even things like Access databases as well.

1:30
They become really, really good tools that we’ve seen a lot of the reporting off the back of it as well for accounts information or spend with a customer.

1:39
All that can be tracked within the app.

1:41
So the third app is an HR employee portal.

1:45
So this is actually built using code apps.

1:49
So what this has allowed us to do is effectively build a modern employee self-service portal for annual leave on boarding things like policies, training requests and all employee information.

2:03
So all this is captured within the code app.

2:06
So it can be available in teams, on a mobile or even a browser and with these custom workflows.

2:13
So typically HR software can be really expensive.

2:16
So this is reduced things like HR administration, it actually improves the employee experience and it can also be branded exactly for that organisation as well.

2:27
So this is a great use case for Power apps.

2:31
So another great example for a Microsoft Power app is a business management system which is centralised around purchase orders, stock management and this is replacing Excel spreadsheets and SAS products.

2:46
The Power app gives financial insights into stock levels, account values and purchase history.

2:53
So project management tools with model driven apps.

2:56
This gives you a single source of truth on one centralised place for the whole team to be working from and looking at.

3:05
It can carry out tasks, so communication to the customer task on milestone tracking, RAID management for your risks, actions, issues and dependencies, timesheets and resource management and real time reporting.

3:23
So that just really helps with the with the status reports and any project plans.

3:29
Thanks for watching.
