Saltgate needed to streamline payment processes across multiple jurisdictions, where inconsistent workflows were creating inefficiencies, manual effort, and potential for error.
The organisation was seeking a solution that could standardise payments, improve data integrity, and strengthen security by establishing a single source of truth.
In addition, Saltgate wanted to reduce transaction touchpoints and replace paper-based check sheets with a more efficient, automated process.
After evaluating several off‑the‑shelf options that failed to meet their highly tailored requirements, Saltgate chose to develop a bespoke solution using Microsoft Power Apps.
Valto collaborated with Saltgate to design and build a Microsoft Modern Driven Power App, known as STAR, to serve as the front-end for their payment system. This solution was developed collaboratively, incorporating Saltgate’s specific needs and feedback throughout the process.

Saltgate’s new system now includes a client portal built with Power Pages, allowing clients to participate in the payment process directly.
The new client portal enables clients to track their payment statuses in real-time, providing transparency and fostering trust in Saltgate’s processes. Additionally, the portal will allow clients to access historical payment data, facilitating more informed financial planning and decision-making.
