Kickstart Scheme

The Kickstart Scheme is a government scheme that provides workplaces with funding.

This creates new job placements for people aged 16 to 24, that are currently on Universal Credit.

Businesses can apply for various forms of funding. This includes providing 100% of the national minimum wage for workers employed through kickstart, for a period of 6 months and for up to 25 hours per week. They can also apply for associated employer national insurance contributions, and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions.

In the past, the Kickstart Scheme required every business to be able to provide a base level of thirty new job roles which, therefore, was not beneficial for many small and medium sized businesses.

They have changed this requirement as of 2021. As a result, this allowed Valto to benefit from this scheme, and they have currently recruited three new members of staff from this scheme so far this year.

Cameron Gill

Cameron started working for Valto through the Kickstart Scheme on the 12th of April 2021 providing 1st Line Cloud Support to our customers.

He is the first point of contact for any technical problems and producing a resolution for the problems.

Cameron graduated from the University of Chester in 2019, where he studied Cybersecurity. He enjoys solving problems, upgrading/repairing desktops and laptops and learning about new tech.
