Discover Valto's approach to project delivery using Microsoft D365 Project Operations. Learn how we manage resources, create delivery plans, and maintain ongoing communication for successful project outcomes.

At Valto we have Certified Project professionals who are dedicated to ensuring the successful delivery of your ‘xxxxxxx’ Project.
In this blog, I intend to share our critical first steps to launching a successful Project, and what you can expect from your journey with us whilst delivering your ‘(xxxxxx)’ Project.

The ability to find the right skilled resource, at the right time can be challenging, however here at Valto we leverage the latest ‘Microsoft D365 Project Operations’ platform, enabling us to get the visibility and agility needed to drive success. ‘Microsoft D365 Project Operations’ maintains resource profiles to easily match people’s skillsets with projects and rate skills using proficiency models, ensuring you have the right Team of experts assigned to make your Project a success. I firmly believe that investing time and effort into a Project as early as the Initiation phase, identifying the right team will help a project succeed more easily.
Once your Team is assigned, working together, we will define a proposed delivery plan. All Projects are managed and maintained using ‘Microsoft D365 Project Operations’ platform, where we generate the Project Plan, assign tasks to Team members, manage the budget and track any Project Risks.
Integrating key Project documentation and tasks in one central location gives us complete visibility into the Project Lifecycle, allowing us to handle projects more efficiently.
To ensure the Project remains on track and all Project Stakeholders receive adequate opportunities to review and feedback, once the plan has been agreed, we will schedule a series of Key Milestone Meetings’.
We recommend that the appropriate Subject Matter Experts and Key Stakeholders be represented during these meetings, as this can allow for the progression of project critical decisions if they arise.
In today’s project management landscape, collaboration and communication are not just helpful – they are essential.
Here at ‘Valto’ we champion on-going dialogue with our customers to ensure their business objectives are met. Outside of the pre-planned ‘Key Milestone’ meetings we actively encourage on-going communications using ‘Microsoft Teams’.
Despite Microsoft Teams being traditionally known as a communications App, it caters perfectly to modern project management needs.

Teams provide a way to create separate spaces for each project, providing a way to create a dedicated space within a Team where stakeholders can communicate, share files and collaborate in the one space. This enables us to keep project talks and files tidy and easy to find, as well as accessible to all stakeholders whenever needed. In my next blog, I will share further insight into how you and your business can apply ‘Teams’ for effective Project Management. Having the ability to switch from chat to video, enabling a smooth transition from text to face-to-face dialogue and removing lag from customer interactions and dialogue.
Those of you who have been involved in Project delivery will know that setting a project up for success doesn’t mean getting everything right. It’s about working with people, not against them, and most importantly, it’s about adding value to that project.
