Two years ago, Valto made the decision to upskill our development team to become proficient in delivering solutions on the Power Platform. Leveraging the teams extensive knowledge of SharePoint Online as a database to build Canvas applications for leave request systems, expense systems and so much more.
Since then we have successfully delivered complex projects for enterprise businesses such as Sony, City of London, Greene King and the Office for Nuclear Regulation (UK Government).

Our team are experts in their field and dedicate a lot of their own time to research new technologies and study for Microsoft exams such as MB400 – Microsoft Power Apps + Dynamics.
Amongst other requirements such as publishing apps into the Microsoft store, passing these exams has certified Valto as a recommended Microsoft Power Apps Partner.
The team recently attended Microsoft’s business applications summit to discover all the upcoming features coming to the Power Platform.

Valto understands the value of custom business applications. We recognize the key influences that usually hold back our customers from building or migrating their business applications to the cloud.
However, the benefit of the Power Platform is that applications that once took months to develop can now be delivered in weeks. Along with all the hosting cost/maintenance taken care of by Microsoft 365 Licenses, the Power Platform is the future of application development.
Considering this Valto is pledging to invest further in expanding our Power Platform team. We have recently seen the team grow with an additional team member to exclusively deliver Power Platform projects.
We plan to recruit even more members to our expanding Power Platform team before the end of 2020.
These roles will be a mixture of specialists that can hit the ground running on bespoke projects and apprentices that we will upskill into specific technical positions.
We are working with a local agency to create apprenticeships and entry level roles within the Power Platform team. Investigating in our youth and creating opportunities for local people to be trained for a specialist career.
The team have always been a strong advocate of internal knowledge sharing to upskill. The team run frequent “Hackathons” style evenings where they set a fun challenge to build a proof of concept of an app.
As part of the team expansion strategy the senior developers will run knowledge sharing “Pizza Parties” to demonstrate key technologies to new team members. This provides training for new products in a relaxed team building environment.
We are excited for the future of cloud applications and looking forward to working on some very interesting projects soon.
